Beautiful Temple of Debod in Madrid. An Egyptian Temple, originally constructed in the 2nd century BC near Aswan in Egypt, it was dedicated to the gods Amun and Isis. As a gesture of gratitude for Spain’s assistance in saving monuments threatened by the Aswan Dam’s construction, Egypt gifted the temple to Spain in 1968.
