About the Picture

Sushi, ramen, shabu-shabu… the food in Japan is so good that it can make you speechless. What about desserts? Exactly the same, so many different sweets in Japan and here we have a picture of one of them – Isobe Dango!

Isobe dango, “Dango” is a chewy rice cake, and Isobe Dango would be a rice cake (mochi), covered with soy sauce and wrapped in seaweed.

And I love seaweed, can eat it alone! Sorry to share that personal detail of mine. Rice cakes are also quite amazing if you cared to know.

There are many types of Dango, so when you’re in Japan make sure you try them all, these perfect snacks even when you feel like you’re too full to eat anything.

Japanese sweets are amazing, but so are the salty and other types of snacks. People who love seaweed, soy sauce and other flavours common for Japan will find food heaven, no matter where you go, let it be Tokyo, Kyoto and other cities.

Each city has its own story and own food and certainly, you will love the food and the story behind it.

This picture belongs to the collection of food images, but also to the collection of Japan-related pictures.
