Fall Park Scene with Golden Leaves in Białystok, Poland

This fall park scene was photographed in November 2023 in Park Konstytucji 3 Maja in Białystok, Poland. Around here, I have always known the area simply as Zwierzyniec, and it is one of the places I really enjoy when I want to spend some time outdoors with my camera.

Autumn is probably my favourite time to come here. Every year, fallen leaves cover large parts of the park and create a yellow and orange carpet under the trees. That was exactly what I hoped to find during this photography walk.

The scene itself is very simple: trees, fallen leaves and an ordinary park bin. But that is also what I like about it. Autumn can make even a very normal corner of a city park suddenly feel worth stopping to photograph.

Why I Like Zwierzyniec in Autumn

The official name is Park Konstytucji 3 Maja, although Zwierzyniec is the name that feels much more natural to me. Some official Białystok tourism websites also use the name Park im. Konstytucji 3 Maja (Zwierzyniec).

For me, this is exactly the kind of place where autumn is best enjoyed slowly. I can walk through the park, look for interesting light and colours, take some photos and simply enjoy being outside. There is no need for a big plan.

When the leaves really start to build up, the ground can become the most interesting part of the scene. Yellow, orange and brown leaves cover the grass and paths, and familiar places suddenly look different for a few weeks.

For autumn photography, I think Zwierzyniec is a little gem. I know I can come back another year and still find something different to photograph, even if I walk through the same part of the park.

A Walk Close to Central Białystok

Another thing I like about this part of Białystok is that it is easy to combine nature with a walk through the city. Akcent ZOO is located in the park, while Planty and the gardens around Branicki Palace are also nearby.

That makes the area nice not only for locals, but also for travelers who enjoy walking. You can spend some time among the trees and autumn leaves, visit the zoo, and continue towards some of the better-known places in central Białystok without needing to make it a separate day trip.

The zoo is not visible in this photograph, but it is part of the Zwierzyniec experience (about three-minute walk from the place the picture was taken) and its free to explore.I especially like this part of the city in autumn because it gives me a chance to enjoy nature without having to travel far outside Białystok. Sometimes a simple walk with a camera is enough.

Using This Autumn Photo

I like this image because it feels very ordinary and very autumn at the same time: a park bin, tall trees and a thick layer of golden leaves. It could work well in a blog post or article about fall, autumn scenes, city parks, seasonal walks, urban nature or autumn travel in Poland.
