About the Picture
Picture of The town hall of the Plaza Mayor in Valladolid, Spain. Valladolid’s Plaza Mayor, was the first great plaza that was built in Spain. The town hall’s architecture is beautiful and I was lucky to be there on a day, when the sky looked just amazing.
Plaza Mayor in Valladolid is certainly not as big as the one in Madrid and most probably in several other cities in Spain, but it certainly has it’s own vibe and feel, I really loved it! Not just the Plaza, but the whole city of Valladolid is quite an amazing place I highly recommend you to travel to.
Especially, when you’re visiting Madrid, as it’s just a short train ride from there. “Casa Consistorial”, the proper name in Spanish that translates to “Town Hall” is surrounded by many restaurants I highly recommend visiting after sunset, to enjoy some the city lights and a bit cooler weather during hot summer days.
Visiting Valladolid was not on my initial itinerary when traveling Spain, but I knew I will have a day to fill the gap, while enjoying Segovia, had a feeling that I will easily figure something out and Valladolid just appeared as a perfect city to go, and of, I so don’t regret! It was a very unique place you certainly may want to add to your Spain’s bucket list. It’s full of beautiful landmarks for you to enjoy.
